bksb is the largest and most successful eLearning provider of its type in the UK and operates with an India subsidiary company, bksb India Private Ltd, based in Chandigarh. We are currently looking at expanding our team in India and are looking for a Software Developer.
The holder of this position will become an integral part of the Skills Anytime India team, based at bksb India Private limited at the Taj Hotel, Sector 17. The following role requires a flexible and professional person to provide support within the development of software applications, databases and cloud-based infrastructures.
The post holder will be primarily involved in the development and maintenance of web and/or application software. These duties will include, but are not limited to, the design of software (in terms of human interaction interfaces and code architecture) and the production of high quality, efficient and robust code.

- Contribute to the interface design of web and application software, applying standard design principles and methodologies.
Contribute to the design of web and application software architectures in terms of programming object/class structures, APIs and data structures.
Responsible for the creation and maintenance of data tables and procedures within production and internal business databases.
Support the database optimisation, back-up and disaster recovery procedures and processes.
Support the database design and data integrity procedures and processes.
- B.Tech./B.E., B.Sc., BCA in computer science, IT or related subject
Good English communication skills
Excellent maths and logical reasoning skills
Experience in web development
Experience of back-end programming using ASP.NET (C# and/or VB)
Experience with TSQL and SQL Server – tables, procedures, indexes, relationships
Experience of Web API and Web Services development
Excellent understanding of HTTP and RESTful design
Experience of standalone application development using WinForms and/or WPF
Node.js and/or AngularJS
